Rehana was co-opted to the Board in May 2025 and brings expertise in leadership and education.

Rehana is a senior leader in the international arts, culture, and education sector. With more than 25 years of experience across the UK and internationally, she has led programmes supporting creativity, learning, cultural exchange, and social impact in over 50 countries.

Professionally, Rehana currently leads the Global Creative Economy Programme at the British Council, working with governments, cultural institutions, educators, and creative practitioners to strengthen skills, livelihoods, and opportunities through the arts and creative industries. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), a former member of the UK Government’s Creative Industries Council, and a mentor supporting global majority women working in media and journalism. Throughout her career, Rehana has championed equity, diversity, and inclusion, expanding access to education, culture, and creative opportunities. Her work has focused particularly on gender equality, disability inclusion, and creating environments where people from all backgrounds can thrive.

Alongside her current work, Rehana has a growing interest in regenerative agriculture and systems thinking. She is inspired by approaches that recognise the connections between communities, economies, and ecosystems, and believes lasting change comes from creating the conditions for people and places to flourish. Her perspective is shaped by ideas of collective imagination, stewardship, and public purpose, with a particular interest in how education can help young people think systemically, act creatively, and contribute to the regeneration of society and the natural world.

Rehana is committed to supporting the Waldorf Learning Foundation’s mission to nurture every child’s potential through a holistic, inclusive, and human-centred approach, helping young people develop the confidence, creativity, and compassion needed to flourish in a complex world.
